Renowned film personality and co-producer of Love You Shankar (2024), Ramira Taneja has made a remarkable directorial debut with her short film Wild Flowers, which has been officially selected at the 15th Dadasaheb Phalke Film Festival 2025 (New Delhi).
Spanning just 6 minutes and 30 seconds, this emotional short film has garnered attention not only for its storytelling but also for its unique and innovative promotional campaign.
A Revolutionary Promotional Strategy
Ramira Taneja introduced a bold new approach to short film marketing. She launched what is arguably the shortest trailer ever at just 30 seconds, accompanied by striking posters, a YouTube premiere, and testimonial bites from industry professionals. While such strategies are generally used for feature films, Ramira adapted them successfully for her short film, thereby setting a new industry benchmark.
A Passion-Driven Journey
Expressing her gratitude, Ramira said, “I’m overwhelmed with the love Wild Flowers has received. I am deeply thankful to all my collaborators who supported this project with open hearts.”
With over 15 years in the film industry, Ramira entered filmmaking with immense confidence and sincerity. Despite being advised by peers to avoid short films, she chose to stay true to her vision, embracing value-driven cinema over commercial compromise.
“If you truly believe in something, take that first step. Wild Flowers was shot and edited within 24 hours, using non-actors, natural locations, and a small crew under minimal resources,” she revealed.
From Yash Chopra’s Stage to the Director’s Chair

Ramira’s cinematic journey began when legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra noticed her dance-drama performance in Delhi. That brief encounter at Yash Raj Studios ignited a lifelong passion for storytelling through cinema.
Validation Through Festivals
Sharing her experience at the festival, Ramira added, “The environment at such festivals is very welcoming—it values hard work and intent. The official selection of Wild Flowers at the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Festival is proof that we’re on the right path.”
Recognized by Industry Veterans
Ramira was recently invited as a jury member at another prestigious film festival organized by the Om Puri Foundation, where she shared the stage with notable personalities like Nandita Puri, Aseem Bajaj, Brahmanand Singh, Sanjay Khanduri, and Bobby Vats. “They were so impressed by my promotion strategy that they invited me to collaborate with them—an honor I deeply cherish,” she shared.
Future Endeavors on the Horizon
With several scripts ready and upcoming projects in the pipeline, Ramira is currently exploring collaborations with new partners, funders, and creative allies to further elevate her cinematic vision.
Wild Flowers is not just a film—it’s a declaration that short films too can carry depth, innovation, and industry-changing potential.
