    A Visionary Project Under the Bharat Maestro(a) Awards
    JHALAA is the flagship project of the Bharat Maestro(a) Awards, an initiative launched by music legend AR Rahman earlier this year to celebrate India’s musical legacy and uplift a new generation of classical musicians. Personally curated by Rahman, the ensemble was formed through a global talent search, which attracted over 500 entries and culminated in the selection of the finest formally trained young artists in Indian classical music and dance.

    Award-winning composer Khatija Rahman, along with music director and BMA Advisory Board member Sai Shravanam and Project Head Kannika Urs, has passionately brought the JHALAA vision to life. “In the golden eras of Indian music, ragas mirrored nature, seasons, and human emotions,” said Khatija. “JHALAA seeks to rekindle that emotional connection, offering an immersive experience that blends nature’s moods with life’s rhythms.”

    दुसऱ्या दिवशी एमआयजीए फॅशन इन्स्टिट्यूटच्या ‘उडाण २०२५’ने सुरुवात झाली, अक्षता शोस्टॉपर म्हणून झळकली.
    प्रीती जाजू यांच्या ‘लेबल प्रीती जाजू’ कलेक्शनमध्ये श्रुती मराठे यांनी शोस्टॉपर म्हणून मोहकतेची झलक दाखवली.
    नंदिता यांच्या ‘ईश्वर्या’ कलेक्शनमध्ये सोनाली कुलकर्णी, इशिता राज आणि प्रांजल प्रिया यांनी अध्यात्मिक दृष्टीकोन साकारला.

    तिसऱ्या दिवशी मेडीक्वीनच्या ‘सोर्बोमंगला’मध्ये इलाक्षी गुप्ता आणि विष्णू यांच्या कलेक्शनमध्ये रुपिका ग्रोव्हर शोस्टॉपर्स ठरल्या.
    ‘डीवा पेजंट्स’ने ‘व्ही. ब्रायडल्स बाय वर्षा’ सादर करताना ऋतु शिवपुरीने भव्य रॅम्प वॉक केला. ‘आयएनएसडी पुणे’च्या ‘प्रतिबिंब २०२५ – एक्लेक्टिक’ मध्ये प्रियंवदा कांत आणि हुनर हाळीने तरुणाईच्या उत्साहाची झलक दिली.

    मराठी रंगभूमीवर पुन्हा ‘सुंदर मी होणार’
    मराठी रंगभूमीवरचा एक अविस्मरणीय ठेवा – पु. ल. देशपांडे यांचं ‘सुंदर मी होणार’ हे नाटक तब्बल तीस वर्षांनंतर पुन्हा रंगभूमीवर येत आहे. निमित्त आहे पुलंचा २५ वा स्मृतिदिन आणि त्यांच्या पत्नी, लेखिका सुनीताबाई देशपांडे यांचं जन्मशताब्दी वर्ष. या खास पर्वावर सादर होणाऱ्या नव्या प्रयोगात ‘बेबीराजे’ ही महत्त्वाची भूमिका साकारतेय अभिनेत्री स्वानंदी टिकेकर.

    स्वानंदी टिकेकरचं व्यावसायिक रंगभूमीवर पुनरागमन
    स्वानंदी जवळपास तीन वर्षांनंतर व्यावसायिक मराठी रंगभूमीवर पुनरागमन करत आहे. याआधी ‘१०३’, ‘डोंट वरी बी हॅपी’ सारख्या लोकप्रिय नाटकात झळकलेली स्वानंदी सध्या हिंदीतील ‘महानगर के जुगनू’ आणि इंग्रजीत ‘मिडल क्लास ड्रिम्स ऑफ समर नाईट’ या दोन नाटकांत भूमिका साकारत आहे. मात्र ‘सुंदर मी होणार’च्या निमित्ताने ती पुन्हा एकदा मराठी रंगभूमीकडे वळली आहे.

    पुलंच्या नाटकासाठी स्वानंदीचा भावनिक निर्णय
    “मला निर्माता आकाश भडसावळेचा फोन आला, आणि त्याने विचारलं – ‘नाटक करणार का?’ त्याचवेळी त्याने या नाटकाचं नाव सांगितलं आणि मला वाटलं, इतकी सुंदर संहिता आणि तेही पुलंचं नाटक – मी नाही म्हणण्याचा विचारच करू शकले नाही,” असं स्वानंदी सांगते. पुलंच्या लेखणीबद्दल असलेला आदर आणि त्यांच्या नाट्यसंहितेची ताकद तिच्या शब्दांमधून सहज उमटते.

    ‘बेबीराजे’शी आत्मीयतेचा नातं

    ‘बेबीराजे’ ही व्यक्तिरेखा तिच्या अंतर्मनाच्या अगदी जवळची आहे. ही व्यक्तिरेखा थोडीशी बंडखोर, मतस्वातंत्र्य असलेली, आणि आत्मभान जपणारी आहे – म्हणजेच आजच्या काळाशी पूर्णतः सुसंगत. “बेबीराजे नेमकी माझ्यासारखी वाटते. ती स्वतःची मतं बाळगते, काहीतरी वेगळं शोधते. जे सहज मिळालंय, त्याच्या पलीकडे काही आहे का हे पाहणारी ती – म्हणूनच मला ही भूमिका फारच भावली,” असं ती भावनिक स्वरात सांगते.

    कलात्मक संधीपेक्षा श्रद्धेचा अनुभव
    पुलंच्या नाटकात काम करणं ही स्वानंदी साठी केवळ एक कलात्मक संधी नाही, तर श्रद्धेचा अनुभव आहे. “मी हे नाटक पाहिलं होतं, पण वाचलं नव्हतं. आणि आता पुलंच्या स्वतःच्या हातून लिहिलेल्या ओळी रंगमंचावर बोलता येणार आहेत, ही कल्पनाच खूप पवित्र वाटते,” असं ती नम्रतेने मान्य करते.

    ‘सुंदर मी होणार’मधून नव्या विचारांची चाहूल
    ‘बेबीराजे’ ही केवळ एका घरातल्या मुलीची गोष्ट नाही – ती नव्या विचारांची, सामाजिक चौकटी मोडण्याच्या प्रयत्नांची गोष्ट आहे. आजची तरुणाई ज्या संघर्षांमधून स्वतःचं वेगळं स्थान शोधते, त्याच प्रवासाचा आरसा ही व्यक्तिरेखा दाखवते. म्हणूनच स्वानंदीने ही भूमिका स्वीकारल्याचं सांगते.

    अनुभवी दिग्दर्शनाची जोड
    या नाटकाचं दिग्दर्शन अनुभवी दिग्दर्शक राजेश देशपांडे करणार आहेत. देशपांडे यांनी यापूर्वीही पु. ल. देशपांडे यांचं ‘ती फुलराणी’ आणि वसंत कानेटकर यांचं ‘हिमालयाची सावली’ यासारख्या नाटकांचं यशस्वी दिग्दर्शन केलं आहे. त्यांच्या अनुभवामुळे ‘सुंदर मी होणार’च्या नव्या सादरीकरणाबाबत रसिकांमध्ये विश्वास निर्माण झाला आहे.

    कलाकारांची दमदार फळी
    नाटकाची निर्मिती करण देसाई आणि आकाश भडसावळे यांनी केली आहे. स्वानंदी टिकेकर (बेबीराजे) सोबत आस्ताद काळे (संजय), श्रुजा प्रभुदेसाई (दीदीराजे) हे प्रमुख कलाकार आहेत. त्यांच्या जोडीने सृजन देशपांडे, श्रुती पाटील, निलेश दातार हे नव्या दमाचे कलाकार सहाय्यक भूमिकांमध्ये दिसणार आहेत. संगीत मिलिंद जोशी, नेपथ्य संदेश बेंद्रे, वेशभूषा मंगल केंकरे यांची आहे तर व्यवस्थापन नितीन नाईक यांच्या हातात आहे.

    नाटकाचा शुभारंभ पुलंच्या २५ व्या स्मृतीदिनी म्हणजेच गुरुवार १२ जून २०२५ रोजी पुण्यात आणि १३ जून रोजी मुंबईत होणार आहे. विशेष म्हणजे अजून तीन महत्त्वाच्या व्यक्तिरेखा – महाराज, डॉक्टर आणि सुरेश – कोण साकारणार याची उत्कंठा रसिकांमध्ये निर्माण झाली आहे.

    ‘सुंदर मी होणार’ – एका युगाचा आरसा
    ‘सुंदर मी होणार’ ही केवळ एका घराच्या चार भिंतीत घडणारी कथा नाही, तर एका संपूर्ण युगाच्या मानसिकतेचा आरसा आहे. आणि त्या आरशात ‘बेबीराजे’सारखी व्यक्तिरेखा उभी करताना स्वानंदी टिकेकर पुन्हा एकदा रंगभूमीवर तीव्रतेने, सच्चेपणाने आणि सौंदर्याने उमटेल असा विश्वास वाटतो.

    प्रेमकथा हा चित्रपटसृष्टीचा सर्वाधिक आवडता विषय आहे. अनेक प्रेमकथांचा अनुभव प्रेक्षकांनी आजवर घेतला आहे. मात्र, सुलट प्रेमाची उलट गोष्ट या अनोख्या टॅगलाइनसह ‘मंगलाष्टका रिटर्न्स’ हा नवा चित्रपट २३ मे रोजी प्रेक्षकांच्या भेटीला येणार आहे. याआधी या चित्रपटाच्या घटस्फोट सोहळ्याच्या अनोख्या टीझर पोस्टरने सोशल मीडियावर चांगलीच चर्चा रंगवली होती.

    शारदा फिल्म्सची निर्मिती आणि मजबूत टीम
    ‘मंगलाष्टका रिटर्न्स’ या चित्रपटाची निर्मिती शारदा फिल्म्स प्रोडक्शनचे वीर कुमार शहा यांनी केली आहे. दिग्दर्शनाची जबाबदारी योगेश पांडुरंग भोसले यांनी पार पाडली आहे. कथालेखन आणि संवादलेखन डॉ. भालचंद्र यांनी केले असून, संगीत दिग्दर्शन पी. शंकरम यांचे आहे. छायांकन विकास सिंह यांनी केले असून, संकलनाची जबाबदारी एस. विक्रमन यांनी सांभाळली आहे.
